How to Optimise your jailbroken iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices

To put it short, this video is really all about "what to do when you feel that your jailbroken phone isn't the same as it used to be."
The problem is with Cydia. When you download a tweak for example 'SbSettings', that tweak will need other app components to work such as 'Activator'. Once you've removed 'SbSettings' you will notice that 'Activator' still remains.

The problem is that those components (mobile substrate tweaks) continue to run in the background even when you have removed the main app.
'DylibDisabler' is a great app that shows you what  mobile substrate tweaks are running on the background. From the app you can choose to disable the tweaks or delete it, but I strongly recommend disabling it to see what effect it has on an app and the overall device.

Here is a list of process that I know of and what they do:
(To remove them simply visit cydia-packages-and search for the individual apps to remove.Be warned NEVER remove a "console package")

*If you do not know the corresponding apps then delete
AppSync: used by *Installous to sync apps to iTunes.
Activator: An app used to customize shortcuts for apps e.g *SbSettings.
BBsettingLib: Used for *BBsettings.
Downloader: Used for *Safari download manager.
FabiusCrack: Used for certain apps e.g *Display recorder.
Libhide: Used to hide apps from showing up e.g *cydelete
Libstatusbar: Used to put icons on the status bar where the clock, wifi bars and battery  icons are e.g                                                          *SbSettings.
MobileSafety: DO NOT DELETE
PreferenceLoader: Used to put cydia settings in your settings app.
sandcastle & sandcastleclient: Not exactly sure what apps use it but delete it if it doesn't inflict with any of the        other apps.
WeeLoader: Don't fret it's not another next gen console, it is used in conjunction with *Installous

Use this list and your own common sense to identify which tweak is causing the problem and by common sense don't go around cydia downloading every app that catches  your eye especially if it runs in the mobileSubstrate. Themes e.g *WinterBoard also run in the background

Lastly I am aware that there are many Do' s and Don't s accompanying this tutorial but that is because this is a very intricate process that should be done carefully, so here is one more Don't
Don't uninstall a disabled tweak (Causes more problems).
